The first phase of restoration works on Machynlleth Town Clock has begun. This has been achieved with the support of Powys County Council through their Built Heritage Scheme. The grant from the Built Heritage Scheme and the Appeal Fund will enable us to complete the first two phases.

To qualify for the full grant we needed to accept the lowest tender, it is the successful contractors decision as to which scaffolding company is used. The last phase will be reliant on accessing funding from other sources. The support for the appeal has been tremendous and demonstrates the deep affection local people and tourist have for this practical and famous land mark.
